Social Service Scholarship (Undergraduate)

Courses / Disciplines: • Social Work
• Occupational Therapy
• Physiotherapy
• Speech and Language Therapy
Universities / Institutions: • NUS, SUSS and overseas institutions recognised by Singapore Association of Social Workers
• SIT and overseas institutions recognised by Allied Health Professions Council
Value & Benefits: • Full tuition fees (For mid-term scholars, there will be a back payment of tuition fees from Year 1)
• Maintenance allowance (For mid-term scholars, it will be pro-rated from the academic year of award)
• One-time pre-studies allowance
• Overseas exchange allowance
• Enrichment activity allowance
• Airfare (For scholars studying in overseas institutions)
Requirements: • Be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident intending to take up Singapore citizenship
• Have applied to a university or gained admission into a recognised full-time Social Work/Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy/Speech and Language Therapy undergraduate programme at the point of application
• Posses a strong interest and passion for serving in the social service sector
• Display strong leadership qualities with good character and conduct
• Excellent academic results with good co-curricular activity records
• Currently not receiving any scholarships or sponsorships
• Willing to serve a bond period upon graduation
Bond Duration: 4 years (Local studies)
6 years (Overseas studies)


Social Service Scholarship (Postgraduate)

Courses / Disciplines: • Speech and Language Therapy
• Psychology (Master level only)
Universities / Institutions: • NUS and overseas institutions recognised by Allied Health Professions Council
• SUSS, NUS, NIE, James Cook University (Singapore Campus) and overseas institutions recognised by Singapore Psychological Society
Value & Benefits: • Full tuition fees (For mid-term scholars, there will be a back payment of tuition fees from Year 1)
• Maintenance allowance (For mid-term scholars, it will be pro-rated from the academic year of award)
• One-time pre-studies allowance
• Enrichment activity allowance
• Airfare (For scholars studying in overseas institutions)

NLB Undergraduate Scholarship

Courses / Disciplines: Most disciplines except Medicine, Dentistry, Law, Pharmacy and Architecture. Some examples of courses that are of direct relevance to NLB's work are:

• Linguistics
• Data Analytics
• Business
• Information Science
• Any other related courses

Universities / Institutions: Local universities and approved overseas universities
Value & Benefits: The NLB Undergraduate Scholarship is a fully funded programme that covers tuition and other compulsory fees, return airfare (for overseas scholarships), maintenance allowance and other allowances (where applicable), internship opportunity and sponsorship of approved student exchange/summer school programme.
Requirements: Students / graduates or equivalent who meet the following:
• Be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who is willing to take up Singapore Citizenship
• Have outstanding GCE 'A' Level, International Baccalaureate, Polytechnic or NUS High School diploma results
• Have good academic and Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) records
• Possess strong leadership qualities, interpersonal skills and a passion for learning and service
• For the NLB Mid-Term Scholarship, in addition to the above, you should be a full-time undergraduate who has completed at least 1 semester and are not in the final year of undergraduate studies

Bond Duration: • Local universities:
4 years

• Universities in non-English speaking countries:
5 years

• Universities in English-speaking countries:
6 years

Mid-Term Scholarship:
• 1 year per year of local sponsored study and 1.5 years per year of overseas sponsored study

• Return economy airfare, maintenance and other allowance, eg. Settling-in etc

Requirements: Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents intending to take up Singapore Citizenship and with excellent academic results, good CCA records indicating good leadership qualities, evidence of research accomplishments (if appliable), prizes and Honours received, 2 Letters of reference from Academics/ Supervisors at the Master's or PhD's level who should have current knowledge of applicant's academic performance and Curriculum Vitae (max 4 pages long)
Bond Duration: Local : 2.5 years
Overseas : 3 years (for course duration not exceeding 1 year) or 6 years (for course duration exceeding 1 year)
