NATIONAL COUNCIL OF SOCIAL SERVICE

Social Service Scholarship (Local)

Courses / Disciplines: • Social Work
• Psychology
• Occupational Therapy
• Physiotherapy
• Speech Language Therapy
Universities / Institutions: To pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at local universities (Psychology studies is only supported for postgraduate studies)
Value & Benefits: • Full tuition fees

• Pre-studies allowance (once-off)
• Sponsorship for student exchange programme (for one semester)*

Requirements: • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
• Excellent GCE ‘A’ Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), Diploma and / or university results
• Displays strong leadership qualities
• Has strong interest to work in the social service sector
• Must have at least applied to a university or gained admission into a recognised Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy or Psychology programme

Current undergraduates and postgraduates who fulfil either of the following may apply:
• Completed at least one semester in the first year of undergraduate / postgraduate studies
• Have at least one year of studies left

• Book allowance

• Sponsorship for student exchange programme (for one semester)*

Value & Benefits: The NLB Postgraduate Scholarship is a fully-funded programme that covers tuition and other compulsory fees, return airfare (for overseas scholarship), maintenance and other allowances (where applicable)

Requirements: University graduates or equivalent who meet the following:
• Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who must attain Singaporean Citizenship before the award of scholarship
• Have excellent academic results: possess at least Second-Upper Class Honours degree
