Editor’s Note

I ’d like to begin this note by congratulating you. All those months of excessive coffee-drinking and late nights have borne good fruit. Greener pastures await you as you pass the gates of your JCs and polytechnics!

As you contemplate your next academic move, consider how a scholarship can be weaved into your plans. We know that time is of the essence and you need to begin your university applications soon. This magazine thus comes in as a handy guide to facilitate your decision-making, with a full spread of scholarship information set at the back. No need to spend hours poring over the internet and hopping from one scholarship provider to another!

Even more interestingly, the bulk of this magazine is the array of scholars’ stories we have put together. These scholars took time off their busy schedules to share their stories with us – with you – in hopes that you get a better understanding of what they have been through. Many of them left us with some pieces of advice that have inspired us, and we are confident that they will inspire you too.

With that, I leave you with this edition of the BrightSparks magazine. All of us at the BrightSparks team wish you all the best for university – and who knows, you might just appear in a future BrightSparks edition not too long from now!
