Fresh Graduates’ 3 Must-Go Places

As a fresh graduate or scholarship seeker, you probably have quite a lot on your plate. But while the drain on time and resources is inevitable, we have some ways to make it much easier for you.

Firstly, the BrightSparks portal has more than 30 scholarship providers’ offerings, along with a handy comparison tool to make things clearer. And our BrightSparks magazine is tailored to searchers like yourself, with scholars’ stories that explore exactly what it is like to work in these organisations.

But scholarship decisions cannot be made just by opening a magazine, no matter how good it is. After all, the written word is mere one-way communication with no chance of feedback.

As a starting guide, we have listed out three places where you can get that necessary opportunity to speak to organisation reps, past scholars and career or educational advisors. Hence the title, the three must-go places for any scholarship seeker!

They are:

1.     BrightSparks Virtual Fair 2021

We’re proud to offer you the last step of your scholarship research journey, to complement our magazine and portal. BSP Virtual Fair 2021 hosts premier scholarship providers and universities, all eager to speak to fresh graduates like you. Sign up now!

The best part is: all these will be one-on-one consultations, just like in a physical fair. Simply head to the booth of choice and ping the representative there to start a conversation, and get all your scholarship questions answered!

If you don’t have anything specific in mind, we recommend you sign up for as many webinars as possible. At these webinars, reps will go in-depth into what their organisations stand for, what it is like to work there, and what offerings they have for scholars. Go with an open mind and you may find your dream scholarship at one of these!

2.     Organisation-specific information sessions

The same reasoning applies to our second must-go place – information sessions hosted by the organisations themselves. Like our webinars, these will offer a good look into an organisation’s mission and values and how they enact them to bring change.

While our webinars have a time limit of 45 minutes, in contrast, these information sessions may run as long as needed, with ample time for Q & A at the end. Additionally, going out of your way to attend one shows your deep interest in the organisation – always a good thing!

3.     Education counselling sessions

After you have learnt all you can from the two events above, we recommend you start organising your thoughts and looking into where you want to put your applications efforts.

An educational coach will be a great help in this arena. Educational coaches are trained to provide advice that’s tailored to your educational journey. During the one-on-one session, they’ll ask you about your life, your dreams and wishes, and of course your qualifications, and provide personalised recommendations based on those. It goes without saying that this advice is hence applicable to you and you alone.

Still considering? Let Crimson Education convince you of their expertise and value during their webinar during BSP Fair 2021, and pop by their booth for a consult! We promise you’ll be satisfied with the results.

Now that you know the three places you need to go, it’s time to get going. Get your research sorted, sign up for BSP Fair 2021, and begin the journey!
