Social Service Scholarship (Local)

Courses / Disciplines: • Social Work
• Psychology
• Occupational Therapy
• Physiotherapy
• Speech Language Therapy
Universities / Institutions: To pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at local universities which meet professional accreditation requirements (Psychology studies are only supported for postgraduate studies.)
Value & Benefits: • Full Tuition Fees (inclusive of hostel fees)
• Maintenance allowance
• Pre-studies allowance (one-off)
• Sponsorship for student exchange programme (for one semester) *
• Sponsorship for relevant enrichment activities / programmes *

* Subject to NCSS's approval
Requirements: • Singapore citizens or permanent residents
• Excellent GCE 'A' Level, International Baccalaureate (IB), diploma and/or University results
• Displays strong leadership qualities
• Has strong interest to work in the social service sector
• Must have at least applied to a university or gained admission into a recognised Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology programme

Mid-term scholarship
Current undergraduates and postgraduates who fulfil either of the following may apply:
• Completed at least one semester in the first year of undergraduate / postgraduate studies
• Have at least one year of studies left
Bond Duration: 4 years (undergraduate)
3 years (postgraduate)

Courses / Disciplines: • Social Work
• Psychology

• Speech Language Therapy
Universities / Institutions: To pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies at overseas universities which are of good standing and meet professional accreditation requirements
(Psychology studies are only supported for postgraduate studies.)
Value & Benefits: • Full Tuition Fees (inclusive of hostel fees)
• Two one-way economy class airfare
• Maintenance allowance
• Pre-Studies Allowance (one-off)
• Sponsorship for student exchange programme (for one semester) *
• Sponsorship for relevant enrichment activities / programmes *

Value & Benefits: • Full tuition fees (back payment from Year 1 for Mid-Term)
• Monthly Maintenance Allowance (including hostel fees) (pro-rated from year of award for Mid-Term)
• Pre-Studies Allowance (one-off)
• Overseas Exchange Allowance (for local undergrad only)
• Enrichment Activity Allowance
• Airfare (for overseas scholars only)
Requirements: • Singapore Citizen or Permanent Residents
• Possess a strong interest and passion for serving in the social service sector
• Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records
• Display strong leadership qualities and good conduct and character
• Excellent GCE 'A' Level, International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and/or university results
• Have gained admission into a recognised full-time programme by the Professional Accreditation Bodies (SASW, AHPC, SPS)
Bond Duration: 4 years (local studies)

Universities / Institutions: • NUS and overseas institutions recognised by AHPC
• NUS, NIE, James Cook University
Value & Benefits: • Full tuition fees (back payment from Year 1 for Mid-Term)
• Monthly Maintenance Allowance (including hostel fees) (pro-rated from year of award for Mid-Term)
• Pre-Studies Allowance (one-off)
• Enrichment Activity Allowance
• Airfare (for overseas scholars only)

Value & Benefits: The NLB Undergraduate Scholarship is a fully-funded programme that covers tuition and other compulsory fees, return airfare (for overseas scholarship), maintenance, and other allowances (where applicable)
Requirements: Students / graduates or equivalent who meet the following:
• Be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who is willing to take up Singapore Citizenship
• Have good academic and Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) records
• Have a GCE 'A' Levels, International Baccalaureate, Polytechnic or NUS High School diploma

Requirements: Singapore Citizens or Singapore PRs with excellent academic results, good CCA records indicating good leadership qualities, evidence of research accomplishments (if appliable), prizes and Honours received, 2 Letters of reference from Academics/ Supervisors at the Master's or PhD's level who should have current knowledge of applicant's academic performance and Curriculum Vitae (max 4 pages long)
Bond Duration: Local : 2.5 years
Overseas : 3 years (for course duration not exceeing 1 year) or 6 years (for course duration exceeding 1 year)
