The Sport Excellence Scholarship (spexScholarship) added jiu-jitsu, ice skating and triathlons to its roster of supported sports. The spexScholarship offers support for athletes who are deemed to have the potential to excel on the continental and world stage.

A-Levels project work results to be released digitally
This year's A-Level project work results will be released over the phone or email, said the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) on Monday (Apr 27). The project work results will now be released on Apr 30 instead, before the start of the mid-year break, due to the extended circuit breaker measures.

SUTD delays academic year
The start of the academic year for the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) will be pushed to Sept 14 instead of May 18, from this year. Students in the 2020 cohort will still take the required eight terms of undergraduate coursework, and will graduate in May 2024 instead of September 2023.

Financial
internships such as Citi Singapore and OCBC Bank are continuing to offer
internships and jobs to fresh graduates who face a touch hiring climate due to
Covid-19. These initiatives go beyond government-led efforts such as the paid
traineeships scheme that was announced last month. These offers include the
potential for a job offer upon completion of the internship, as well as other
incentives.
