Now
Pursuing Master of Science in Aquaculture and Marine Resource Management at Wageningen University of Research, The Netherlands

"A distinguishing factor of the scholarship would be that it caters to diverse areas of interest, from agricultural sciences to food technology. It is possible to obtain a scholarship to pursue an education that is in tandem with one's interests and equips him or her with the technical knowledge and skills to contribute to SFA's work. This scholarship provides me with a global perspective on issues, such as international trade in agriculture, which is a key component in our globalised world. For example, learning about food broadens my understanding of other social, political and environmental issues. To learn about food is to learn about our world, which places one in good stead in our increasingly globalised world."

"A scholarship definitely provides many benefits, such as job security upon graduation as well as financial support. The internships I took part in during my undergrad days have also aided me in making a more informed decision when opting for which department to join after graduation. I would definitely encourage everyone who is passionate and keen to try applying and not be daunted by the application process. Ask questions as well during the selection interviews, as it can help affirm one's decision to take up a scholarship with that particular company, or otherwise."

"The values of the agencies offering the scholarship resonated with me. I wanted to be part of an organisation's mission where I can make a positive impact on people's everyday lives. Working in NEA allows me to interact with a diverse group of people, both within and outside the public sector. NEA's work touches many aspects of Singaporeans' lives. It is interesting to understand every stakeholder's role and contributions in advancing sustainability, and I am constantly learning something new or gaining fresh perspectives."

The scholarship application cycle runs from October and closes two weeks after the release of 'A' Level results.
