1.     SAF Engineering Scholarship

Scholarship Provider: MINDEF Scholarship Centre (MSC)

Summary: The SAF Engineering Scholarship is for military engineers-to-be, who are ready to serve the nation and be groomed as leaders with specific deep specialisation in engineering. The scholarship equips you with a world-class education and training to spearhead in-depth engineering studies, as well as design and operationalise high-end technological capabilities for the SAF.

 

As military engineers, you will assume a range of challenging appointments in MINDEF/SAF. In addition, there will be opportunities to be rotated to the Defence Technology Community (e.g. Defence Science and Technology Agency [DSTA] and DSO National Laboratories) to augment the build-up of engineering expertise in the Defence-technology ecosystem.

Eligibility:

·        Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up citizenship

·        Good GCE 'A' Level or International Baccalaureate results, Polytechnic Diploma (with Merit) or equivalent

·        Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records

·        Strong leadership qualities

·        Qualify for and excel in Officer Cadet School

·        Possess a strong interest in a military engineering career

·        All MINDEF/SAF scholarships are open for application to both genders

2.     DesignSingapore Scholarship

Scholarship Provider: DesignSingapore Council (Dsg)

Summary: The DesignSingapore Scholarship is for individuals with creativity, drive and passion for design. The scholarship will groom designers to become design leaders who will use strategy and innovation to make things better by design. Our scholarship holders may come from different fields of design, but they share one common trait – they are game changers and aspire to contribute to Singapore, and the design sector. We are on the lookout for talented individuals with creative flair, the drive to push boundaries; and a heart to serve Singapore.

Eligibility:

·        Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident

·        Have completed National Service (for male applicants)

·        Have successfully gained admission to a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate design-related course in a reputable Singapore or overseas institution

Applicants who are applying for postgraduate studies and have at least three years of professional working experience, would have an advantage

Areas of Study:

The programme should be a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate design-related degree at a reputable local or overseas institution.

 

Possible fields of study:

·        Architecture

·        Business Innovation

·        Design Management

·        Digital Design (Interaction Design/User Experience Design)

·        Fashion Design

·        Industrial Design

·        Interior Design

·        Landscape Design

·        Service Design

·        Urban Design

·        Visual Communications

3.     Smart Nation Scholarship

Scholarship Provider: Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), Government Technology Agency (GovTech), and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)

Summary: The Smart Nation Scholarship develops and nurtures technology talents and leaders within public service. Offered by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), Government Technology Agency (GovTech), and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the scholarship provides opportunities to carve out a career pathway in applied technology for the public good.

Eligibility:

·        Singapore Citizen (*Includes Singapore Permanent Residents who are taking up citizenship.)

·        GCE "A" Level results (or equivalent) or Polytechnic Diploma

·        Exemplary co-curricular activities record

·        Passionate about a career in technology

·        Pursue an ICT-related degree programme

Application period: September to April each year
