"As someone who aspires to find a meaningful career, I was inspired to apply for the PA Scholarship and partake in PA's efforts in serving the community. Social support from family, community and the government are vital for all, and unfortunately, many Singaporeans lack this support in their lives. I hope that I can play a role in creating vibrant and cohesive communities in Singapore and build communities where people's relationships with their neighbours extend beyond mere geographical acquaintances, evolving into an extended social support network for one another."

"I learnt that there is greater depth to PA's work: it empowers everyone in the community to make a positive difference. It was the opportunity to give back to my community and Singapore that motivated me to apply for the scholarship."
Adelei Tock Kai Lun
PA Undergraduate Scholar Bachelor of Social Science inPolitics, Law and Economics Singapore Management University
"I was driven by a strong desire to serve the community and make a difference in the public sector. My time as an intern at North West Community Development Council (CDC) made me realise the importance of strengthening interpersonal bonds, and how that will impact Singapore's social compact. Being actively involved on the ground during my internship period and participating in various volunteering experiences solidified my aspiration to serve and give back to society. I believe there is no better way to achieve this than by directly addressing the needs of citizens and solving key challenges."
