The Smart Nation Scholarship develops and nurtures technology talents and leaders within public service. Offered by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), Government Technology Agency (GovTech), and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), the scholarship provides opportunities to carve out a career pathway in applied technology for the public good.

Our Agencies
Established in 2015, the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) seeks to keep Singapore's cyberspace safe and secure to underpin our Nation Security, power a Digital Economy and protect our Digital Way of Life. It maintains an oversight of national cybersecurity functions and works with sector leads to protect Singapore's Critical Information Infrastructure. CSA also engages with various stakeholders to heighten cyber security awareness, build a vibrant cybersecurity ecosystem supported by a robust workforce, pursue international partnerships and drive regional cybersecurity capacity building programmes.

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) is the lead agency driving Singapore's Smart Nation initiatives and public sector digital transformation. GovTech is also the public sector lead for cybersecurity, and oversees key government ICT infrastructure, as well as regulates ICT procurement, data protection and security in the public sector. As the Centre of Excellence for Infocomm Technology and Smart Systems (ICT & SS), GovTech develops the Singapore Government's capabilities in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Application Development, Smart City Technology, Digital Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity. Our Scholarship Package
Fees
Includes tuition and other compulsory fees such as application and examination fees
Option to Backdate
Mid-term scholars* (overseas or local) may opt to backdate the scholarship
Living Allowance
Allowance for day-to-day expenses such as bills and living costs
One-time Allowance
IT equipment, warm clothing, return shipping and settling-in allowances
Service Commitment
6 years (overseas programme) or 4 years (local programme)
*Mid-term scholarship applicants must have at least one semester of university results at the point of application and have not embarked on final year of study.

Singapore Citizen / Singapore PR who will be taking up Singapore citizenship
Graduating GCE "A" Level (or equivalent) and Polytechnic Diploma students, or mid-term university undergraduates*
Passionate about Technology
Pursuing an ICT-related degree
Exemplary CCA Records
*with at least one semester of results and not in the final year of undergraduate study.
Application period: 1st September to 30th April of the following year.
