Our Scholarships

SFA jointly offers scholarships under the Singapore Sustainability Scholarships (SSS) umbrella together with two other Statutory Boards under the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) - The National Environment Agency (NEA) and PUB, Singapore's National Water Agency.

We are looking for game-changers who are passionate in developing solutions and staying ahead of the curve to ensure a sustainable supply of safe food both now and in the future.

SFA Undergraduate Scholarship (Full-Term/Mid-Term) Applications till March 2020
Since its formation in April 2019, SFA has joined the two agencies under the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources – the National Environment Agency (NEA) and PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency – to offer the National Environment and Water (NEW) Scholarship.

Individuals who are interested in SFA's undergraduate scholarship may submit their application for the NEW Scholarship here. Applications close 2 weeks after the release of the 'A' Level results in Singapore.

Successful candidates will be awarded the NEW Scholarship and embark on a career with SFA.

Eligibility
  • Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents intending to take up Singapore Citizenship
  • Applicants presenting ‘A’ Levels, International Baccalaureate, Polytechnic Diploma or equivalent
  • Applicants for mid-term scholarship should have attained at least one semester of academic results

  • Tuition fees and other compulsory fees
  • Maintenance allowance
  • Pre-studies allowance (One-time)
  • Return economy class airfare (For overseas scholarship)

Mid-term scholarship
  • Tuition fees and other compulsory fees (Including backpayment of tuition fees and other compulsory fees incurred prior to award)
  • Monthly maintenance allowance (From point of award)
  • One-way economy class airfare from country of study (For overseas scholarship)
Bond
  • Local: 4 years
  • Overseas: 6 years
  • Overseas in non-English speaking countries: 5 years

Application Details

The NEW Undergraduate Scholarship opens for applications from October annually and closes 2 weeks after the release of the GCE ‘A’ Level results in Singapore. Applicants for mid-term scholarship will also apply during this period.
