Perth people enjoy eating out very much, and there has never been so much choice of places to eat. The Northbridge precinct has many dumpling, roast meat and premium seafood restaurants, and Sunday morning yum cha is very popular – so be early!


You will find many other people from Singapore in Perth. They often work for big companies like BHP, Rio Tinto and Woodside because 35% of companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange are headquartered in Perth even though Perth has only two million people!


The people here love the healthy air, the extra space and the reassurance of modern and safe infrastructure like hospitals and public transport. It is always easy to call family and friends from Perth because it is in the same time zone as Singapore, and internet is available everywhere, including many shopping malls.


While you are here, go to the brand new Perth Stadium to watch an Australian football match or to see a rock concert – it is very loud and exciting to be there, and easy to get to by bus or train.
