Home Team Science and Technology Scholarship ( Application till 2021-06-29 )

The SGS (HT Science & Technology) is for highly qualified individuals with strong interests in the application of Science & Technology in Home Team operations. SGS (S&T) scholarship holders will read science and engineering disciplines at the undergraduate level in top overseas or local universities. The scholarship holders will be groomed for Ops-Tech uniformed leadership positions in the Home Team.

Courses / Disciplines:
Science and Engineering disciplines:
  • Science disciplines:
  • Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science and Physics.
  • Engineering disciplines:
  • Computer Science & Engineering and Electrical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Universities / Institutions: Renowned overseas or local universities
Value & Benefits:
  • Tuition and other approved fees
  • Monthly overseas or local maintenance allowance
  • Pre-studies allowance e.g. settling-in, warm clothing, computer
  • Return airfare for attachment programme
  • Sponsorship for exchange programmes (if requirements are met)
Requirements:
  • Singapore citizens or permanent residents intending to take up Singapore citizenship
  • Good co-curricular activities (CCA) records and physical fitness (PES A or B)
  • GCE 'A' Levels (with at least 10 academic units), International Baccalaureate (IB), Polytechnic Diploma (with Merit) or equivalent
  • Good performance in National Service
  • Keen interest in a career with the Singapore Police Force career with deep specialisation in Science, technology, and engineering
Bond Duration:
  • 4 years bond (Local studies)
  • 6 years bond(English speaking countries)
  • 5 years bond(Non-English speaking countries)
