Merit Undergraduate Scholarship

Overseas Undergraduate Scholarship

Choose from a Local or Overseas Course. You will receive a full sponsorship based on a local programme.

Local Course covers:
  • Maintenance allowance (includes hostel allowance)
  • Tuition and other compulsory fees
  • Pre-studies allowance
  • Computer allowance
  • Approved overseas exchange (if applicable)
  • Attachment with IRAS
  • Mentorship by IRAS senior management
Overseas Course covers:
  • Annual allowance (includes maintenance, hostel, tuition and compulsory fees based on similar local course)
  • Pre-studies allowance
  • Computer allowance
  • Approved overseas exchange (if applicable)
  • Attachment with IRAS (return airfare provided)
  • Mentorship by IRAS senior management

You will receive a full sponsorship based on the overseas programme.

Overseas scholarship covers:
  • Maintenance allowance
  • Pre-studies allowance (including warm clothing, settling-in allowance)
  • Tuition and other compulsory fees
  • Computer allowance
  • Approved overseas exchange (if applicable)
  • Attachment with IRAS
  • Return airfare for beginning and end of course, and for attachment with IRAS
  • Mentorship by IRAS senior management
Bond Period: 4 years Bond Period: 6 years

Mid-Term Undergraduate Scholarship

IRAS will back-pay the tuition fees and respective allowances for the completed years of study.

Selection Process

  1. Video Interview and Essay Test
  2. Screening Interview with the Human Resource & Capabilities Branch
  3. Briefing & tea session with returned scholars
  4. Panel interview by senior management
