*The DTC  comprises the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA), DSO National Laboratories (DSO), Future Systems and Technology Directorate (FSTD) and Defence Industry and Systems Office (DISO), as well as Centre of Strategic Information Technology (CSIT).

To be a Greater Mind, you must:
  • Be a Singapore Citizen (Singapore Permanent Residents are required to take up Singapore Citizenship)
  • Have achieved excellent GCE ‘A’ Level* or equivalent results (e.g. International Baccalaureate, NUS High School Diploma) or Polytechnic Diploma
  • Have an outstanding co-curricular activities record
  • Have a passion for science and technology
*Candidates must:
  • Have at least 11 GCE ‘A’ Level units
  • Achieve good grades for at least three H2 content-based subjects (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Biology), and General Paper (GP) or Knowledge Inquiry (KI)

Rest assured that our Scholarship Officers are always on hand to provide assistance and guidance in academic or personal matters. Beyond that, you will also have senior DSTA scholar buddies who will help you adapt to your new environment and provide you advice and tips, giving you that edge over all other freshies in school. And when it comes to matters of career opportunity, we also have a group of friendly, experienced mentors who will point you in the right direction. 

Orientation Programme
Starting you off on the right foot is an orientation programme designed to help you settle into your undergraduate life. Through it, you’ll not only learn more about the Defence Technology Community (DTC), but also be equipped with essential life skills. 

Community Portal – Scholars' Arena
Once you’re on your way towards academic excellence, you’ll be able to keep in touch with your peers via the exclusive Scholars’ Arena. Here, you’ll be able to keep up with the latest DTC happenings, track invitations to events and most importantly, network with DSTA management, mentors and your course mates. Closely supported by the DSTA Scholarship Office, this virtual space is known for building many lasting relationships among scholars.
