1. About
The PSC (Medicine) and PSC (Dentistry) Scholarships are offered to existing local medicine and dentistry undergraduates and to those currently pursuing their Doctor of Medicine (MD) studies at Duke-NUS Medical School, to nurture and develop the next generation of leaders in the public healthcare sector.
2. Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who will take up Singapore Citizenship;
- Have completed at least one (1) year of medicine or dental studies and are not in the final year of studies in local universities at the point of application;
- Have strong leadership qualities and potential;
- Have good academic and Co-Curricular Activities record
3. Course of Study
This scholarship is tenable at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Duke-NUS Medical School and NUS Faculty of Dentistry.

5. Scholarship Obligation
The bond period for this scholarship is 6 years, including the bond for Medicine and Dentistry studies

6. Scholarship and Career Development Pathways
Scholarship holders will have opportunities to participate in various developmental programmes, such as healthcare induction courses, internships at MOH, MOH Holdings and public healthcare institutions, and networking events involving key healthcare professionals.
Upon graduation, scholarship holders will pursue their careers in the public healthcare sector, and be developed through regular rotations and exposure to developmental activities.

[1] Currently, all students who have been accepted into the Medicine/Dentistry courses in the National University of Singapore / Nanyang Technological University / Duke-NUS Medical School, are required to sign the medical/dental Agreement with the Ministry of Health, which requires them to serve in the public healthcare sector for a specified number of years after graduation.
