1. When can I apply?

You can apply either during the early cycle or main cycle.

Early Cycle
The early cycle application opens in early October and closes in early December annually. We encourage all students to apply during the early cycle.

Main Cycle
The main cycle opens during the release of the GCE ‘A’ Level results in February or March. The closing date for the main cycle is two weeks after the release of GCE ‘A’ Level results.

2. I wish to submit my application for the early cycle. Do I have to wait till my GCE ‘A’ level/IB preliminary results are released?

You can use your preliminary results, if available. Alternatively, you can submit your JC1/IB1 results or your predicted GCE ‘A’ Level/IB Programme results, if available.

3. How is the selection process like?

There are three rounds in the selection process.
1st Round Full-day assessment at JTC where you will do a variety of individual and team exercises.
2nd - 4th Round Interviews with the senior management of JTC

4. If I am going for my national service (NS), do I apply after I have received my GCE ‘A’ Level/IB/Polytechnic results or after I have completed NS?

You are strongly encouraged to apply for the early cycle before your NS enlistment. You can send in your applications once you have received your GCE ‘A’ Level/IB/Polytechnic results. However, you can only attend the interviews during your NS block-leave periods in May–July. If you are successful in your application, a conditional offer will be made to you. Upon accepting our offer, we will hold the scholarship for you until you have completed your NS.
